The next Coppa d’Europa, which will take place from 11 March to 14 March 2027, will once again start at the beautifully situated ‘Boshotel’ in Vlodrop (NL).
In 2027, we will be travelling through four countries: the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and the Czech Republic.
Setting off from the Boshotel, we’ll head south through the Dutch province of Limburg, running parallel to the Dutch–German border. Even there, interesting and exciting challenges await us, giving us a good taste of what’s in store over the three days of the rally. We’ll cross the border into Belgium, entering the German-speaking region and the High Fens. Passing through the Belgian Nordeifel Nature Park, we’ll reach Germany, where we’ll tackle many winding roads and narrow lanes. We’ll then approach the river Rhine. In the spa town of Bad Breisig, we’ll spend our first night at the ‘Rheinhotel Vier Jahreszeiten’, beautifully situated on the banks of the river Rhine.
On Friday morning, we’ll head eastwards, crossing the Taunus area, passing north of the financial hub of Frankfurt, and reaching the regions Spessart and Rhön. Naturally, along the route we’ll find challenging but manageable tasks for our four classes, which will delight both navigators and drivers alike. Passing through the Haßberge area and the Franconian Switzerland Nature Park, we’ll reach our second destination of the day – the Wagner city of Bayreuth – after a long day’s drive.
On the final day of this Coppa, we drive from Bayreuth through the Fichtelgebirge towards the Czech Republic. There, in the fourth country on our tour, we find ourselves on small, interesting roads, passing through enchanting little villages into a rally driver’s dream territory. We’re always amazed that you can still find places like this in Central Europe. For you rally drivers, these are real challenges, especially as we continue eastwards on the Czech side of the Ore Mountains. We cross the border into the German state of Saxony, drive through the Vogtland region and approach our rally destination, Dresden – though not without having to tackle a few tricky challenges first. In Dresden, we head to the elegant ‘Penck Hotel’ in the city centre, where we’ll hold our awards ceremony, prize-giving and spend our final night.
